So we finally arrived in Norway. The boat trip to Kristiansand was quite unspectacular, it was just another big ferry where you watch amazed how many car leave it when they unload it.
Tips for bikers: Fiill your bike at the station just before you enter the harbour, once you've checked in, you are not supposed to leave again and gas is cheaper in Denmark. Also, there is no shop in the harbour, so if you need food or drinks while waiting, get them before you enter the harbour.
The first hundred miles or so in Norway were just very nice, once we left Krinstiansand, we were driving through forests with lots of lil lakes. It looks somehow how I imagined it would be in Canada. It is a winding road, but as the speed limit is 80kmh, it is still very easy to drive. As we decided to stick to the speed limit, we had another premier on this trip: We are the first vehicles of the queue! The weather is still nice and rather on the war side, with our winter gear, we are definitely overdressed!
We found another nice camp ground and even took a swim in the lake – at 8 PM and still lots of sunlight :)
Tips for bikers: Watch out for speed cameras, they are all over the place. Some of theme were announced, but some not. Most are inside the towns or villages, but some are also outside, when the re is a speed limit of less than 80.
